  • The Chakras:1: Basic Chakra

Situated at the base of the spine or near to the coccyx, the Basic Chakra, also known as Root Chakra or Moola Dhar Chakra, helps the body in different ways. The Basic Chakra is responsible for strengthening bony growth. Also, it is related to grounding, survival, stability and security. Its colour is red and matter is earth.

If blocked or misaligned, Basic Chakra can manifest physical issues such as arthritis, constipation or bladder problems. It also manifests a feeling of insecurity about finances or our basic needs and well-being. If it is aligned or balanced and open, we feel grounded, secure both physically and emotionally.

There are certain methods which can balance or align this chakra, which are Pranic Healing, Reiki, Meditation and Yoga.
