The hypothalamus acts as a vital endocrine gland located in the brain that connects the nervous and endocrine systems. It acts as a master controller by producing hormones that regulate the nearby Pituitary Gland, the body's master gland controlling metabolism, body temperature, hunger, thirst and sleep.

Hypothalamus receives chemical messages from nerve cells in our body (peripheral nervous system) which also respond to signals outside our body. Hypothalamus' main function is to react to these messages to keep your body in a stable state or impartial balance. Hypothalamus helps manage your body’s temperature, hunger, thirst, mood, sleep and blood pressure.

Hypothalamus produces some of the important hormones (chemicals), such as pituitary hormone-releasing hormone, gonadotropin releasing hormone, Oxytocin, Growth releasing hormone, Prolactin releasing hormone, corticotropin etc.

Key strategies for hypothalamus health:

1. Balanced Diet: Always take a healthy diet providing better minerals and vitamins.

2. Regular Exercise: do 45 min approximate good exercise.

4. Stress management: Practice Yoga and Meditation, deep breathing and mindfulness to reduce chronic stress.

5. Avoid Excessive dieting

6. Must comply with the daily requirements of Vit C, vit B and vit E
